MOVING, in order to offer only the best of the Italian technology and style, has undergone a long series of management and, first in its business, of product certifications.

The importance of the CQA certification

Since 1993 the CATAS institute has been acting as an independent third party in the product certification field with its own “CATAS QUALITY AWARD” brand, testing and assessing the compliance of a product with regulations and technical specifications. The companies willing to offer their customers a greater added value, can certify their products through the systematic and constant intervention of an independent institution like the CATAS. CATAS QUALITY AWARD (CQA) is the one and only, real product certification. This is not just a simple certificate that records the results of tests on a single sample, but it is a document that refers to the whole production of a specific model, because it is issued only after standing surprise tests. MOVING was the first company in the office chairs field to obtain this certificate for as much as 6 lines of product. The technical regulations of the CATAS QUALITY AWARD – Office chairs is based upon the EN 1335 1-2-3 norm. This regulation implies:

• Assessment of the compliance with safety regulations;
• Assessment of the proper filling of the user’s and maintenance instructions ;
• Assessment of the dimensions;
• Front, back and lateral stability, before and after the mechanical resistance tests;
• 260.000 combined fatigue cycles of seat and backrest;
• 60.000 fatigue cycles of the armrests;
• Static load resistance of the armrests (5 cycles with 75 KG, 5 cycles with 90 Kg);
• Rolling resistance of the castors;
• 100 h fatigue of the castors with a load of 75 Kg.

TÜV Certification

An office seating certified by the TÜV is a product guaranteed under the quality and safety aspects by an institute of absolute professionalism as the TÜV Rheinland Group. The certified seatings undergo strict tests carried out by experts and this guarantees the end user the truthfulness of the information coming from a third independent institution. The TÜV experts routinely check the production processes in our factory, so to verify that there is a correspondence between the products manufactured and the tested sample. This is the only way to guarantee that the certified products maintain their performance characteristics.

Ministerial homologation

With the purpose of supplying its clients with high performance office chairs, Moving has obtained the 1IM ministerial homologation for some of its products; This is the strictest parameter regarding the reaction to the fire of padded furniture and it is a mandatory requisite in the furnishing of public areas of industries subject to fire prevention such as congress halls, hospitals, hotels, etc.
